I've been having a lot of fun finding a good display for my new air plant! Me thinks this one is my favorite: Pretty, no? :)

Today this came in the mail for me!! :-D

Here it is!!

I bet you didn't guess that it's a tillandsias air plant!
Know what's so cool about it? It doesn't have roots and it doesn't live in dirt! It gets all its water and nutrients straight from the air! All I have to do is get it wet twice a week. That's it. :)
Know what else is cool about it? They are members of the pineapple family! :) Aaannd in the wild they grow on tree branches. *jaw drop* How cool is that?!
Btw, it's really fun to hold a plant that doesn't have dirt involved. :)


I was trying to find a good display for it. I liked it in this triangular glass thingy with sand in it.

And I liked it sitting on top of this gorgeous piece of pink quartz that my grandparents gave me years ago.

It's so much fun, because I can just pick it up and move it into a different spot/container without worrying about dirt!

Oh, and just in case you can't tell, I like crazy plants. :)

Things that make me smile!

Aaannd it's another things that make me smile post! :)

1. Crazy, zany, artsy, funky, blue-striped nerd sunglasses! Yes!

2. Big dogs doing little dog tricks. :) She always looks like she is gonna fall over backwards when she does this! She kinda wobbles and sways the whole time. It's hilarious!
Look at that face. Can't you just hear her? "I. Can't. Hold. It. Much longerrrrr!!!!!"

3. Buying tiny underpants.

*Akward pause*

*Snicker*

*Giggle!*

*Crazy laughter fading into the background*

"Um, are you OK?"
"*Gasp!* Yes, I'm *snicker* just fine! *wheeze*"
"Okaaaayy... *raises eyebrows*"
"Wanna see them??"
"Uhhh..."
"Here they are!! Aren't they hilarious?!"

OK, I'll admit it. :) These aren't really underpants. Though they do look like it don't they?! *Snicker* They are in fact called FootUndeez: Underwear for your feet. Bahahaha!!! *Ahem.*

Are you wondering why anyone would wear tiny underpants on their toes?? Cuz you should be. :) I'm doing a "barefoot" dance at a dance competition in a few weeks. However, have you ever tried doing spins barefoot? No? Well basically three things could happen. a) The skin on the balls of your feet gets twisted off or b) your feet stick and you fall over or c) something equally tragic. So some smarty [under]pants invented these little things. Amazing huh? :)

Youngest Daughter: I decided to take pictures of things that look like letters. And I decided to do the whole alphabet. :-O Me thinks I am crazy. At least I had Mom to help. :)

Pictures galore!!

I got a really cool plant today. It has green leaves. Wow, I know. Crazy right? Well it is kinda, because the green leaves are fuzzy. And the fuzzies are purple (!). It's really cool. I tried to take a good picture of it, but it doesn't do it justice. :(

So I tried to take a super close-up/macro. It sorta worked. At least you get the idea. :)

And then while I was outside taking pictures of it, I decided to take more pics in our yard!

I don't know why I like this pic so much. I just do.

Mosquitoes eat flower nectar. OK, so I'm not sure if I really believe that, but hey, seeing is believing right?

OK, just made a quick google search, and apparently mosquitoes do drink nectar. What!? "Hi, I'm a mosquito and I drink flower nectar, like a pretty butterfly. Oh, and I also suck your blood. Nice to meet you." ???

Anyways, moving on.
Apparently fly thingies also like daisies.

OK, just kidding. It's a macro shot of moss and lichen on our tree. :) It does kinda look like coral though, doesn't it?? Yeah. I wish.
